Preventable Deaths Demand Action
These are not just statistics. These were fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, coworkers, and friends. Most of these tragedies could have been prevented with better safety measures, more thorough training, and responsible supervision.
Common causes in these cases include:
- Falls from heights without adequate fall protection
- Workers struck by heavy equipment or falling materials
- Equipment-related asphyxiation and crush injuries
- Electrical hazards from overhead power lines
- Inadequate hazard communication and site inspections
Employers are legally and morally responsible for keeping their workers safe. When they fail to do so, families suffer life-changing losses. Know your legal rights and options after suffering a workplace injury.
