Giroux Pappas Names Westland John Glenn Teacher Exceptional Educator for May
In Honor of Teacher Appreciation Month, May’s Winner is Ms. Andrea Bonner, Music Education Teacher at Westland John Glenn High School.
Southfield, MI, May, 2023 – Giroux Pappas Trial Attorneys, a personal injury law firm serving clients in Michigan is pleased to announce Ms. Andrea Bonner of Westland John Glenn High School as the Exceptional Educator for May. May 8-12 is Teacher Appreciation Week and Ms. Bonner was nominated by students, faculty, and families for her commitment to music education. Her school will receive a donation of $1000 from the law firm.
Ms. Bonner leads classes in music appreciation, choir, band, symphonic band, and orchestra and leads the marching band and supports winter guard efforts for John Glenn High School, Wayne-Westland Public Schools. According to her nominators she is an exceptional educator because of her unwavering passion for music education and teaching. “She is active and involved in student life to gain a deep understanding of the individual needs of each student and works tirelessly to help them reach their full potential,” said her nominator.
Giroux Pappas created the Exceptional Educator Program and partners with WXYZ to gather nominations for educators in the area that go above and beyond for their students. Giroux Pappas launched the program in January 2022 to give back to the community it serves and has recognized and donated to a teacher each month.
“I believe it’s important to recognize teachers in our community, like Ms. Bonner and their incredible contribution to our children. Next to parents they often have the most significant impact on our children.” said Bob Giroux, Attorney and Founding Partner.
To nominate a teacher who inspires their students and goes out of their way, visit the Exceptional Educator page on the Giroux Pappas Trial Attorneys’ website.
